A post or two ago, I mentioned putting up some ritzy gallery software. It keep looking cool on paper, but has so many troubles in the set up end that I've left it be for a while. I'm working on a much larger project, with about a tenth the headache.
So Tara won these tickets to go see Finger Eleven, and invited me along. Then she talked the radio station into giving her the special "hang with the band" passes. Heh. Cool. Here's the pic, taken September 23, 2003.
Finger Eleven and Elaine and Tara

I'm filled with the desire to show you all the very first piece of computer art I did, back in 1990 or so...
I drew it, in an idle moment, with the MS Paint program that came with Windows 3.0 or 3.1 (I don't recall), which was simply a second shell option on my 486/40 Dos machine.
I had 8 MB of RAM. Yes, eight. And a math co-processor! With this machine plus my unheard-of 15" monitor, I was the envy of all the other computer users.
Heh.
Dedicated surfers of my site or readers of Xtra West may have seen this one before... Hooray for Scarlet Letters!

I picked up this hotshot gallery software, and am trying it out on this site.
