Sling-Hanging , fast notes
Here's a quick over view of my sling
and its hardware, for folks who wanna know more about slings.
|
The upstairs bedroom hardware Just a pair
of carriage bolts, from which one may dangle ropes or
chains. |
|
Close-up of the hardware, with my hand for size reference. The bolt is 3" long and pointed, and I pre-drilled the holes. Always into the beams, ladies... |

|
The
Dungeon, and the main sling hardware : The eyebolt is 1/2" dia, 3" long, and pointed. Holes pre-drilled into the beam. The linking hardware is a QuickLink.
The stirrup, one of two. |
|
The sling itself, flat on the floor so you can see it clearly. I estimate it will hold up to about a 6'8", 400 lb person. Notice the two ends are of slightly different shapes -- angled narrowly for the head end, and broadly for the butt end. |
|
Close up of one corner of the sling, showing hardware. |

Another overview. |

Here's where you'd stand, as the active party, and there's where you'd sit, as the recipient of attention.. [grin]

|
Legs go to the outside of the chains, and through the stirrups, which can be adjusted up or down. In winter, or for sensitive types pad the chains with towels.

Again with the leg. | |
